'The Race' cotton tea towel brings Giuliana Lazzerini's beautiful linocut design to the best of British manufacturing.
Commissioned to mark the 2015 Tour de France's Yorkshire Grand Depart; 'The Race' was vey much a celebration of the success of British cycling which continues to evoke the thrill of today's races and the legacy of that Grand Depart; the annual Tour of Yorkshire.
Taking inspiration from vintage cycling images; we love this image with its rolling hills, dry-stone walls and good old Yorkshire sunshine. It captures not just the thrill of a race but the simple pleasure of those sunny-day rides.
We have been thrilled to continue the UK base of 'The Race' bringing York based Giuliana's image to tea towels made in Accrington (at a textile mill working its magic since 1918) and lovingly screen printed with the design in Leeds.
The towels are a lovely way to brighten the day when the time for washing the dishes comes about and are a perfect gift for the cycling enthusiast on your life.
Comes with an ultra handy hanging loop.
Size: Approximately 61 cm long by 41 cm wide.
Apologies that we only have these left in the Orange and Grey colourway now.
