The lovely Lush Designs is run by Marie Rodgers and Maria Livings who studied painting and printmaking at Maidstone Art College and evolved their business while working in the theatre and community arts.
Their love of colour and characteristic quirky prints has been applied to a range of homewares many of which are made in house at their studio at Cockpit Arts in Deptford.
Another lovely British supplier! Joy Jolliffe is a designer/maker who works from her studio on the Isle of Wight.
Random Retail products are original designs, screen printed by hand onto natural calico which offers a simple, utilitarian base to mirror her design aesthetic.
We fell in love with Giuliana's work when, following our then recent woodland wedding, Matt bought a copy of her Forest Hare linocut for as a birthday present for me.
Giuliana's linocuts capture an simple and fluid movement that we cannot resist. So, she immediately came to mind as our dream artist to create an image to celebrate a summer of cycling in 2014 when both Le Tour de France and L'Eroica Britannia were visiting the UK.
We were thrilled when Giuliana said yes and created 'The Race', a fabulous linocut that captured the thrill of the rides through Britian's stunning countryside. Inspired by vintage cycling images the rider captures perfectly the retro vibe with the dry stone walls and rolling hills evoking the scenery of both L'Eroica Britannia and Le Yorkshire Tour routes.
Why not take a look at our full range of Giuliana's linocuts in our store?
